Tom and Faye's Visit

Well, I was here about 5 days before I had my first visitor. Tom and Faye, my friends from Sri Lanka, have been traveling around africa and the middle east since december, and now they are in europe. It was fun to meet up with them after so many months and even better to meet in europe!

Old Town Walk: Small streets are the norm in old town. Jana, Faye, and Tom after walking out of the Literary Cafe.

The view of Old town: The buildings in the immediate foreground are more modern, old town is across the river.

You've seen this pose before - Tom, Faye, and I on the way up to the castle.

One shot of the Cathedral within Prague Castle. One pic can not capture the entire cathedral and in no way can capture the intricacy in the architecture. Simply beautiful.

Hello From Prague

OK, this certainly wont be as involved as my Sri Lanka Blog, but I think its still the easiest way to share pics with short captions. With that eing said, I am very happy to have moved on from Sri Lanka and to arrive in Prague. The weather was been cool and mild in the 60-70s and it has been great to be back in civilization!

Downtown Prague - It is a very clean city with a wonderful combination of old buildings and modern infrastructure.

Mmm...Prague Sausage! OK, its a bit obscene, but it was really good! The food here reminds me loosely of the comfort food of Wisconsin and a little of Minnesota.

Old Town Square - What else to say... its beautiful.

Speedy trams - clean, fast, and efficent. Getting around town is a breeze.

The famous Prague Castle on the hills above the river.
